The HPC Asia 2023 (HPCA23) conference is being co-located with our SupercomputingAsia 2023 (SCA23) conference next year in Singapore, from 27 Feb – 2 Mar 2023
.
For the first time ever, HPC Asia 2023 (HPCA23) will be co-located and held in conjunction with the international SupercomputingAsia 2023 (SCA23) conference. The SCA conference is co-organised by supercomputing centres of the region including those in Australia, Japan, Singapore and Thailand and anchored by the National Supercomputing Centre (NSCC) Singapore. SCA incorporates a number of important supercomputing and allied events that together aim to promote a vibrant and shared high-performance computing (HPC) ecosystem, for both the public and private sectors, in Asia. Like HPCA23, SCA23 also seeks to nurture an exchange of ideas, case studies, and research results related to all issues of HPC.

SupercomputingAsia 2022 (SCA22) is an annual international conference that encompasses an umbrella of notable supercomputing events with the key objective of promoting a vibrant and relevant HPC ecosystem in Asia. Co-organised by HPC centres from Australia, Japan, and Singapore, the SCA22 will be held from 01 to 03 March 2022 as a hybrid conference at Suntec Singapore Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The technical papers portion of SCA, =&0=&, will be held in conjunction with the conference as a key co-located event. The SCFA session aims to provide a platform for thought leaders from both academia and industry to present their research as well as discuss visionary ideas, global trends, and the latest innovations impacting the world of supercomputing.
The SCFA22 consists of four tracks:
Abstract registration deadline: November 12, 2021
Paper submission deadline: November 19, 2021

This innovative new school will bring together top international experts in the HPC field to share their expertise and knowledge with students from ASEAN Member States. The school is hosted by NSTDA Supercomputer center (ThaiSC) and organised by the ASEAN HPC Task Force, under the Enhanced Regional EU-ASEAN Dialogue Instrument (E-READI). Fabrizio Gagliardi, an HPC pioneer and international expert, will be the Director of this first virtual school.
After a competitive application process, 60 students with the most appropriate educational and technical backgrounds in all ten ASEAN Member States were selected from a larger number of submissions. These students will learn about the fundamentals of HPC design and applications to critical domains from international luminaries from Europe, ASEAN and Japan through virtual formal and practical courses.
The group of lecturers and speakers represents leading HPC organisations, such as the A*STAR Computational Resource Centre, Singapore; the European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC JU); the Finnish National Supercomputing Centre; LuxProvide High-Performance Computing Centre, Luxembourg; the BioExcel European Centre of Excellence; the National Barcelona Supercomputing Centre in Spain and the RIKEN Center for Computational Science, Japan.
The school’s hands-on curriculum starts with the fundamentals of HPC design and programming, and an overview of HPC systems and software. School subjects will include HPC applications to COVID-19 research, urgent computing for earthquake and tsunami simulations, and other critical strategic applications to climate science and computational science.
Interspersed through the modules will be the following events:
The school will be officially opened with remarks from EU and ASEAN representatives to welcome students on the first day.
A presentation by the EU’s flagship funding programme, the Marie Skłodowska Curie Actions, which provides grants for all stages of researchers’ careers; the European Research Council, a public body for funding of scientific and technological research; and EURAXESS, a pan-European initiative that supports researcher mobility and career development, while enhancing scientific collaboration between Europe and the world.
We are pleased to invite you to join the =&0=& that will be held virtually between =&1=& In the virtual school, selected participants will learn about the fundamentals of HPC design and HPC applications across domains. Participation is FREE of charge. Seats are limited.
